Overview: We are seeking an experienced Market Risk Business Analyst to play a key role in supporting the integration of risk management processes as the bank merges multiple trading entities into one cohesive environment. You will need to have a deep understanding of Market Risk, Capital Risk, and Liquidity Risk, along with a strong appreciation of how these risks impact both the organisation and traders in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with business and IT teams to develop and refine risk management frameworks, with a focus on Market Risk (VaR, Stress Testing) and Capital Risk.

  • Manage and address Liquidity Risk at both intraday and end-of-day levels.

  • Implement and oversee Risk Aggregation across the new unified trading environment.

  • Provide real-time analysis of risk scenarios, ensuring traders have insights into their liquidity risk exposure during the trading day, not just from end-of-day reports.

  • Lead discussions on how various asset classes are affected by risk, particularly with strong product knowledge in FX, Equities, Loans, and Swaps.

  • Ensure all risk management practices are compliant with regulatory requirements and align with industry best practice.

  • Collaborate closely with trading, risk, and finance teams to evaluate the operational and financial impact of risk management decisions, focusing on real-time trading risks.

Key Skills and Experience Required:

  • Expert knowledge of Market Risk, including Value at Risk (VaR), Stress Testing, and the implications on trading desks and capital requirements.

  • Demonstrable product knowledge in FX, Equities, Loans, and Swaps.

  • Strong expertise in Liquidity Risk Management, particularly in managing risks during the trading day and their real-time impact on traders and trading desks.

  • In-depth understanding of Capital Risk and its application to trading operations.

  • Experience with Risk Aggregation and an ability to streamline risk reporting across multiple trading entities.

  • Previous experience working in large, complex financial environments, preferably during mergers or system integrations.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex risk concepts into actionable insights for traders, stakeholders, and technical teams.
