Payroll Administrator

Sharp Consultancy is delighted to partner with a thriving business in Rotherham that has achieved significant growth in recent years. They are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join their close-knit, supportive team.
In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in managing accurate and timely payroll operations within a collaborative work environment where team members value and support each other.
They are looking for someone on interim basis throughout a 12-month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with employees on-site to gather and verify timesheets.
- Process payroll for new starters and leavers.
- Calculate and process travel payments accurately.
- Manage and balance both weekly (150 employees) and monthly payrolls (2000+ employees).
- Generate payslips, P45s, and P60s as required.
- Conduct pension assessments.
- Generate payroll costing reports.
- Process employee absences in line with policies.
- Complete BACS and manual payments as necessary.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar payroll administration role.
- Highly organised and meticulous in handling data.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with site employees and internal teams.
