Project Manager Western Europe Area BAT (British American Tobacco) x WPP

Summary of Role

  • Management of Brand workflow into WPP, and facilitation of commercial reporting

Responsible For:

  • Triage of briefing to ensure allocation across Agency teams with the appropriate capabilities
  • Coordination of all Projects delivered via WPP Agencies
  • Oversight and delivery of all commercial reporting

Situation

BAT is undergoing significant change in the way creative and campaigns are delivered.

Traditionally, regions and local market teams have had their own agencies to deliver all outputs needed, regardless of the complexity level. In order to drive greater cost efficiencies, a centralized WPP hub has been created to deliver the lower complexity requirements for all BAT teams within the region.

This shift in work allocation requires oversight and project management to ensure that the deliverables required by the brief are clearly identified, and the project planned and run with excellence-in-execution by the relevant WPP Agency team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of Category Content Cycle Plans and leading the teams in end to end content development and deployment
  • First point of contact for all briefs from the Brand Teams.
  • Management of Triage process to allocate brief requirements to relevant Agency Teams
  • Scope management and delivery of timeline and budget
  • Co-ordination of Agency teams for briefing and workflow delivery
  • Co-ordination of timing and budget plans (delivered by Agency teams)
  • Global Team Liaison to understand timings of centrally produced material that will become critical to regional and end market delivery
  • Day to day liaison between Agency Teams
  • Overseeing compliance of all Agency teams to process and protocols (ways of working and commercial reporting requirements)
  • Reporting of Offshoring & 3rd Party efficiencies
  • (Once confirmed up and running), ensure all workflow is managed through Workfront

Professional Experience Needed for The Role

  • Proven project management background of at least 5 years:
  • Creation and management of project critical paths
  • Scope management and tracking
  • Budget management
  • Budget reconciliation
  • Coordination of multiple teams at any one time
  • Experience in delivery of multiple projects, at speed.
  • Demonstrable capability to communicate mid level brand stakeholders
  • Appreciation of shifting objectives and process, and flexibility to quickly adapt to new requirements
  • 5 Years experience dealing with complex Agency workflows

Please note this position is based in our London office (hybrid) however there may be some travel to our clients office location too.
