We are seeking an experienced Network Product Owner with a strong background in connectivity networks technologies such as Optical Transmission and Broadband platforms. This is an opportunity to be involved in major transformation of the Optical Transmission OSS platform and solutions, as well as compaction of legacy broadband networks. This role is critical in driving the evolution of our network infrastructure to support emerging technologies and ensure seamless service delivery.


You will be responsible for driving the development and execution of products and solutions, from conception through to launch, ensuring they align with our strategic network objectives and stakeholder needs. You will work closely with planning, integration, operations, product owners and development Scrum teams to deliver Network OSS capabilities required for minor network enhancements and compaction to major network rollouts.

You are passionate about delivering the best experience to our stakeholders leveraging the power of technology using data to drive actions and able to present your analysis to technical and non-technical audiences. You will have a strong track record of driving change in global organisations. You will be confident working in a complex and multi-location delivery environment and able to overcome challenges quickly. You will be delivery focused with excellent stakeholder management skills and work effectively with the business, product and technology teams.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience of Optical Transmission technologies such as WDM, DWDM, SDH etc. and within that context delivering complex, multi-year Network OSS transformation roadmap in an agile environment with constant incremental/adoptable rollout of features to Network stakeholders involved in designing, planning, integrating, maintaining and operating connectivity platforms.


What you’ll be doing

Product Strategy & Roadmap:

  • Develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap for specific Network OSS transformation that meets the need of stakeholders designing, planning, integrating, maintaining and operating connectivity platforms the Optical Transmission and broadband platforms.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business goals.

Product Development:

  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of Network OSS transformation and delivery projects from planning, design to implementation & testing as well as embedding technology solutions within stakeholder processes through effective user adoption.
  • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle including requirement gathering, specification writing and prioritisation.
  • Ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and scalability.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making across the product lifecycle, from initial research to post-launch analysis.

Technical Expertise:

Provide technical guidance on OSS and Optical Transmission technologies, ensuring that solutions are scalable, reliable, and future-proof.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Monitor product performance and stakeholder feedback post-launch, and iterate on the product to improve its effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with teams to create KPI dashboards, reports, and insights that help monitor product performance and inform decision-making.

Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate risks associated with network transformation projects, ensuring minimal disruption to existing services.

Market Analysis:

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Network OSS and Optical Transmission technologies to inform product development.

Collaboration & Communication:

Act as the primary point of contact for all Network OSS Connectivity platforms product initiatives, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Present product vision, strategy, and updates to executive leadership and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as product owner, with at least 3 years focused on Network OSS transformation and delivery
  • Good knowledge of Optical transmission network platforms and technologies powered by Ciena, Nokia and Huawei. In depth knowledge of network topologies, inventory and processes is a must.
  • Strong understanding of Network OSS, eTOM model, transformation processes, and related standards.
  • Proven track record of managing complex network transformation projects.
  • Working knowledge of data driven approaches to broadband platform compaction will be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
