In this role, you will build strong relationships across the business, and will influence decision making with your insight and analysis. You will be involved in maximising short-term performance results and supporting longer-term strategic business cases, whilst driving improvement through analysis of the financial position of the business.
You will work in conjunction with the wider finance team to ensure visibility of issues across the business and assist in finding a resolution. You will be playing a key role in supporting decision making and in producing a high standard of quality management information, financial plans and business case development.
This permanent role would suit an experienced Finance Analyst who is looking to take their next step into a Finance Business Partner position. You should be commercially minded and results driven, and be eager to use your expertise in financial analysis to drive improvement.
On offer is a salary of up to £40k DOE, a company pension scheme, and hybrid working with 2 days from home per week, as well as an excellent wider benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing necessary financial support to ensure strategic business development, client retention and increased client profitability
- Provide pro-active insight and advice to support strategic decision making
- Ensure accurate and informative financial reporting, forecasting, and modelling
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders as a trusted advisor and take a proactive approach to driving improvement
- Translate complex financial information to a clearly understandable narrative
- Provide realistic, robust and agile forecasts and budgets, clearly outlining risks and opportunities
Key Attributes
- Actively studying ACA/ACCA/CIMA or newly qualified
- A high degree of commercial acumen and evidence of applied strategic thinking/planning
- Proven financial analysis competency
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Capable and confident in presenting to large audiences
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
- A confident and independent worker
- Attention to detail as well as an ability to see the bigger picture
- Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
- Great team working skills and a passion for delivering results
- Ability to self-manage time and tasks
- Strong communication skills with both finance and non-finance managers, with the ability to succinctly communicate financial information
- Flexible to managing changing requirements of the business and team
