What You'll Do
As a Senior Technology Innovation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in making technology more accessible and effective across the organization. You will help shape technology strategies and establish best practices to drive innovation and transformation. Your efforts will focus on areas such as Artificial Intelligence, DevOps, Platforms, and Employee Experience, aiming to identify opportunities and manage technological risks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting research and contributing to the development of a 10-year vision and strategy for your assigned technology field, supporting colleagues in gaining organizational endorsement for this direction.
- Identifying and developing principles, standards, and best practices, or leading a team of technologists to create these frameworks.
- Collaborating with vendors to maximize their offerings and working with procurement teams on commercial engagements.
- Building a network of peers and stakeholders across the organization and industry to regularly engage and share knowledge.
- Promoting your work through content creation, public speaking, and hosting community events to drive awareness and adoption of the strategies you develop.
- Upskilling team members and other stakeholders in your area of expertise through coaching and mentoring.
The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and the role holder will be expected to undertake additional tasks as required within the scope and level of the position.
Essential Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture.
- A minimum of 5 years of residence in the UK to ensure familiarity with the local market and regulatory environment.
- Candidates must either hold current SC clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo the SC clearance process.

- A strong technical background, with the ability to build credibility, evaluate proposals, and determine execution strategies.
- Some experience working with technology suppliers and understanding vendor relationships.
- Comfort presenting to senior stakeholders, both technical and non-technical, including executive leadership.
- A commitment to continuous learning and a proactive approach to sharing knowledge with colleagues.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in your Digital & Data specialism, which could include Architecture, Data, IT Operations, or Software Development.
- Relevant industry certifications in your technical specialization, or actively working towards obtaining these certifications.
