Handl Group are a buy-and-hold investor that specialise in spotting companies with genuine promise and providing them with the expertise and support to innovate and excel. Handl Group are split into three divisions, Insurance, Health and Assessments.


The Assessment Division comprises of seven companies which provide independent medical reports, assessments, case management, rehabilitation and related services to the insurance, legal, public and corporate sectors. We have large networks of medical and social care professionals across the UK who conduct assessments, provide Case Management Services and provide reports on a range of issues and circumstances. Our IT infrastructure and data security are of vital importance for the delivery of our products and services across the division.


The Role:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated IT Service Delivery Manager to join our division. You will be instrumental in managing the service delivery framework for our portfolio of companies, each with its own level of in-house support. Your role is critical in ensuring that our technology partners, both shared and unique to each company, deliver outstanding service standards that are in harmony with our strategic goals and encourage ongoing enhancement.

By developing excellent relationships with our technology partners you will ensure that the service delivery is as per our contractual agreements, regularly reviewing and measuring service delivery and performance to maintain our expected service standards.


While leveraging the buying power of the division, you will ensure the needs of the individual companies are met and receiving a high-quality service. Through continuous evaluation and review in collaboration with our partners, you will seek to ensure that systems, solutions and infrastructure continue to meet the evolving needs of the companies, security and regulatory requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with technology partners to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Monitor and report on service performance metrics, implementing corrective measures when necessary.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to drive service improvements and resolve any service delivery issues.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to customize technology services to business requirements.
  • Manage service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Organise regular service review meetings with technology partners and internal teams.
  • Promote innovation and efficiency in service delivery processes.
  • Perform vendor evaluations and negotiate contracts to align with organizational goals and cost-efficiency.
  • Oversee the different levels of in-house support across various companies, ensuring they complement the services provided by external partners.


Personal Specification:

  • Proven experience in service delivery management, preferably within a technology or healthcare environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and inspire teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing third-party vendors and partners.
  • Competent in problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in vendor evaluation and contract negotiation.
  • Experience with Azure and M365 is highly beneficial
  • Knowledge of ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials is a distinct advantage
