Join the Product Stewardship team at a global high-performance material/chemical business.
We are looking for an experienced chemical regulatory generalist who has EU REACH experience, knowledge of similar global schemes and the ability to be able to research issues, work out costs and strategy and project manage the solution.
The company manufactures a range of high purity chemicals for global markets; the Product Stewardship team is responsible for compliance with EU and global legislation. Duties include:
- tracking regulatory changes
- assessing the impact of changes on products
- product registrations
- interactions with ORs, Consortia and SIEFs
- management of external expert consultants.
We are looking for a generalist with:
- a broad knowledge of chemical legislation (CLP, REACH etc),
- the ability to research and learn application regulations e.g. food contact / automotive etc
- some knowledge of global / US schemes e.g. TSCA.
Having the confidence and ability to research new regulations, regulations you aren’t familiar with, regulatory solutions, costs and to set strategy is very important.
Candidates are likely to have a science / chemistry qualification or background along with current chemical regulatory affairs knowledge. This is a generalist / project management role – you will be setting strategy for regulatory solutions and managing regulatory programmes via 3rd party providers eg SDS authors, REACH consultants, toxicologists etc. This will be a diverse and challenging role – an excellent opportunity to work on a global scale.
Key Skills: Chemical regulatory affairs, CLP, REACH, global regulatory schemes, TSCA, horizon scanning, regulatory update analysis, regulatory research, strategy, regulatory solutions, costings, managing 3rd parties, project management, regulatory generalist.
VRS Regulatory is the Regulatory Affairs and Risk Assessment division of specialist scientific recruiter VRS. We focus on recruitment in Regulatory Affairs, Registrations, REACH, CLP, SDS Authoring, Product Safety, Compliance, Risk Assessment, Regulatory Toxicology, Regulatory Ecotoxicology and Environmental Fate in the chemicals, agrochemicals and biocides sectors.
