The Opportunity

Our client is one of the largest aviation technology suppliers who in turn millions of passengers with safe passage world wide as well as an enhanced ride experience - provding the software and technical advancements to innovate the sector from the ground up.


HYBRID WORKING POLICY:

Generally engineers work 1 day a week in the office though if you are further out further flexibility can be offered.

  • As a Senior Software Engineer in Test you are seen as an absolute integral part of the technology teams. You are the SME, the expert in these squads thus providing you with authority on test design & process, test tools and languages when it comes to testing & QA decisions in your squad. This is also filtered into the community of practice where you would work closely with the Principal's to define the test strategy an tech for the business as a whole
  • The business has invested heavily in automation so you will be working in an environment where this is the absolute first port of call.


The What?

Our client has been developing an innovating data streaming platform to enable connectivity to their car's worldwide. For that; we are looking for a Senior Software Developer in Test with specific strengths & specialisms within testing on data platforms - however due to the nature of the proejct they will be interfacing with a external third party so someone with strong stakeholder communication skills will be required.


  • Testing across enterprise scale cloud-native applications
  • Solid experience with from an OO language such as Java, Python, Javascript (ES6-8)
  • Strong data & messaging experience testing software with technology like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Grafana, HiveMQ, Prometheus etc.
  • Experience with relational database technologies such as MySQL, MongoDB or similar
  • Experienced advocate for practices such as Test-Driven Development and Pair Programming
  • Experience building automation tests.
  • Kubernetes or other cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure) would be heavily used
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills / experience working within a technical consutlancy background where management of 3rd party and stakeholders are required.
