The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a release manager, coordinator, or engineer experienced in Salesforce (minimum of 2 years) and should meet many of the qualifications listed under required certifications and critical success factors.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordination with CSM Teams: Collaborate with Customer Success Management (CSM) teams to align user stories with releases and ensure communication across teams.
  • Release Documentation: Create release documents, obtain QA approval, and ensure all necessary service and change requests are documented.
  • Deployment Validation: Move release components from the Develop branch to Prod, validate deployment, and ensure readiness for the scheduled release.
  • Version Control Systems: Utilize version control systems like Git and Salesforce-specific tools such as Salesforce DX for managing source-driven development.
  • DevOps Practices: Implement DevOps principles and practices, including continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and automated testing for Salesforce deployments.
  • Release Management Tools: Manage the release process using tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, or Salesforce Change Sets.
  • Repository Management: Ensure all feature branches are aligned and clean up the repository as needed.
  • Environment Management: Maintain consistent configurations across different environments (test, stage, prod).
  • Daily Stand-ups: Participate in daily stand-up meetings, address issues, and understand forthcoming user stories for deployment.
  • CRM Workflow: Implement active development and technical architect work in addition to release management.
  • Support Telephony Teams: Assist Telephony teams with Salesforce repository work, create XML files, and commit code to the repository.
  • User Management & Health Checks: Perform user management and Salesforce health checks to ensure the system is up to date with the latest releases.
  • Developer Coordination: Ensure developers use the latest XML file versions and audit permissions for best practices.
  • Change Management: Follow the Enterprise Change Management Process, ensuring proper documentation and approvals in ADO/Ivanti.


Required Certifications:


  • Salesforce Administrator
  • Git/GitHub Certification
  • Salesforce Certified DevOps Engineer


Qualified Skills:


  • Familiarity with Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, Marketing, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Apex and Command Line
  • Understanding of testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Proficiency with version control systems and Salesforce-specific tools
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps practices for Salesforce
  • Experience with release management tools and processes
  • Ability to manage and deploy changes across Salesforce environments
  • Expertise in managing configurations across different environments
