The Business:

The Director of Elgar House is looking to employ a resident porter, to look after 6 Apartments and the residents.


This job provides the live-in porter with a beautiful 1 bed flat, plus all bills included.


The working hours are:

  • Monday - Friday (9am - 6pm)
  • Saturday (9am-1pm)


The Job:

  • Assisting in keeping the lobby and other public areas clean and tidy.
  • Communal and external housekeeping.
  • Cut grass in spring and summer
  • Handing certain reception duties and residents enquiries.
  • Responding to residents requests and making sure they are comfortable throughout.
  • Ensuring the safety of residents, for instance, placing and removing signage that indicates wet floors or paint.
  • Provide advice and information to tenants, residents.
  • Promote tenant and resident engagement.
  • Attend internal and external meetings as required.
  • Responsible for reactive maintenance when an issue is reported either via email or phone call etc, then ensuring that job orders are raised appropriately before sending contractors to site, whilst keeping the customer informed.
  • Writing leaseholders and resident letters regarding different issues relating to the block.
  • Liaise with onsite staff so you are aware of what is going on onsite, along with working with them to ensure the best possible service.

The resident porter is expected to be all of the following:

  • Organised
  • Punctual.
  • Trustworthy and loyal.
  • Helpful to the residents.
