We're on the hunt for a talented Kubernetes/Monitoring Solutions Architect based in the UK to lead our team in revolutionizing our observability infrastructure within a data analytics company.


The role is fully remote and may require some out of hours work to align with the timezone differences.


Kubernetes & Monitoring Architect Responsibilities:

  • Assess and comprehend existing legacy observability tools and infrastructure prevalent in the business, including Splunk, AppDynamics, Cribl, Zabbix, Thousand Eyes, and Service Now Event Management
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements and objectives for future observability solutions, with a keen focus on noise reduction, seamless integration of business context, and harnessing the power of AIOps/Self-Healing capabilities
  • Craft and articulate innovative designs for next-generation observability solutions, considering various tooling options and strategic approaches that align with the UK business landscape.
  • Develop a comprehensive roadmap detailing the transition from current observability states to future architecture, encompassing migration plans, resource allocation, and a well-defined timeline.
  • Facilitate engaging discussions and workshops with stakeholders across the UK, ensuring their valuable input is integrated into the solution design and transition plan.
  • Bring expertise in monitoring/observability architecture, with knowledge of Kubernetes and other relevant technologies to enhance our capabilities in data analytics


Kubernetes & Monitoring Architect Requirements:

  • Proven experience in architecting and implementing observability solutions within businesses
  • Proficiency in understanding and working with legacy observability tools, with a willingness to explore new tooling options
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a keen ability to engage stakeholders and align diverse perspectives towards a common goal
  • Strategic mindset with a track record of designing solutions that deliver tangible business value at scale
  • Extensive knowledge of Kubernetes and other relevant technologies in the data analytics space would be advantageous
  • Ability to navigate complex technical landscapes and translate business needs into actionable plans
