We're actively seeking talented Oracle Developers with expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite (eBS) and PL/SQL API Development to join our dynamic AMO team as Subject Matter Experts, where you'll lead API design and development, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and security. Your role includes creating seamless System APIs connecting Oracle eEBS (using ORDS), API Gateway, and user-friendly web portals.

This is a hybrid working role, where you can be based anywhere in the UK with occasional travel to one of our UK SSCL offices.

What you'll be doing:
  • Technical design and development of secure and efficient eBS System APIs using, PL/SQL
  • Liaising with Portal and eEBS product owners to translate requirements into API technical components and advising on technical complexity and viability
  • Estimating of product backlog technical components and delivery scope for fixed timeboxes
  • Management of development activity during timeboxes and highlighting potential scope creep and backlog completion issues
  • Ensure that developed products are compliant with any agreed design standards and principles, including security and Prototype demonstration to key stakeholders and prototype feedback assessment, recommending suitable technical solutions
  • Input into test plans and execution of code reviews, testing and bug fixing
  • Production and review of technical design collateral
  • Design and configuration of ORDS dev/test environments and production of build/configuration/backup/recovery guides for IT Operations teams

What you'll bring:
  • Oracle E-Business Suite (eBS) experience
  • Web services, REST API and Enterprise Integration experience
  • Track record of developing production APIs in a senior developer role
  • Programming in languages such as PL/SQL, SQL, Core Java skills, Python and file or message formats such as XML and JSON
  • Understanding of eBusiness Suite workflows, APIs and database structure
  • Product development using Agile methodologies, such as SCRUM
  • Prototype delivery and demonstration to stakeholders
  • Test management & execution experience
  • Management of development work packages
  • Experience in working with Agile and Waterfall Methodologies
  • Experience of on premise and cloud-based infrastructures

It would be great if you had:
  • Knowledge of Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS)
  • Agile issue and development tracking techniques and tools
  • Experience of on premise and cloud-based infrastructures
  • Test management & execution experience
