THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Data Practice Lead is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of data analysts to process and interrogate large and varied marketing data sets, delivering insights that inform and drive clients’ marketing and sales decision making.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills with the ability to develop the practice, presenting data narratively and driving revenue through the data initiatives and services we develop/offer.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, ensuring high performance, professional development, and effective collaboration.
  • Client Delivery: Oversee and ensure the delivery of analytic projects to specification and within allotted timeframes, converting resulting analysis into actionable insights that address business problems.
  • Insight Communication: Translate and articulate complex scenarios and concepts to non-technical and diverse audiences using appropriate narrative and visual techniques. Collaborate with the internal Client Services Team and clients' Marketing Teams to accurately present results and recommendations.
  • Data Manipulation: Guide the team in manipulating client, 3rd party, and internal data sets, conducting migration, synchronization, master data management, and cleanse projects.
  • Reporting: Oversee the setup of automated reports, dashboards, and presentation of analysis in various formats.
  • Innovation: Contribute to and guide the development of CleverTouch’s portfolio of internal tools and client-facing products, providing new analytical functionality and process efficiency. Create and improve processes and tools and contribute to best practices and internal development projects.
  • Commercial Focus and Drive: Apply business knowledge to inform and influence all analysis and research projects, ensuring they are anchored in the ‘real world’.
  • Marketing Understanding: Gain and maintain a deep understanding of how marketing works across a wide range of channels, clients, and industries.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Ability to leverage new software to deliver results.
  • Ability to derive novel and relevant insights from data.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Effective time-management skills under pressure.
  • Consistent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of a 2:1 degree classification from a respected institution in Mathematics, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Experience in designing and configuring reports from specifications.
  • Experience with BI packages (Tableau, Power BI,...).
  • Scripting and development experience with Python (or Equivalent languages)

BENIFICIAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior CRM experience (e.g., Salesforce, MS Dynamics, Oracle) is desirable.
  • Prior exposure to Marketing Automation platforms (Marketo, Pardot, Eloqua, SF Marketing Cloud, Hubspot, Exact Target) is desirable.
  • Prior exposure to Customer Data Platforms (e.g. Salesforce Data Cloud, Adobe CDP, Segment,...)
  • Advanced use of data analytics packages (Excel, Alteryx, SPSS, SAS).
  • Experience in developing and using modelling tools to support strategic decision-making.
  • Experience in Operational Research and/or Machine Learning.
