A Bit About Buttermilk


Buttermilk is a global, independent and specialist creator marketing agency. Influence has been replaced with advocacy and this is starting to play a vital role in brands’ marketing mixes. We call ourselves the ‘Community First Creator Agency’ because we believe that the closer brands are to their fans, their customers, the people already using their products and services, the more successful they will be. We also believe that creators sit at the centre of these online communities; and that their authentic, relatable content is becoming more powerful than mass

communications and expensive advertising.


There are plenty of things that make us different: we don’t represent talent, we are talent agnostic, so the brief comes first. We have our own proprietary gifting programme - Brand Fans - which takes a ‘community first’ approach to gifting and a creator first approach to content creation. Whether we are working with brands on a campaign or their annual influencer programme, we have strategists, creatives, data, tech and delivery experts that help us get effective work out into the world.

You would be joining an agency with a strong brand, big ambitions, nice people and great work, but that needs to start walking the walk and talking the talk.


This is a chance for you to help us do what we tell our clients to do. To build our community, to engage with them, to gain insights from them, to give them access to things that others don’t get. At the same time, this is a chance to grow our brand by creating content that is authentic and relatable to us, as well as our audiences.


If you’re interested in how to build brands in social channels; how to grow a community that leads to business success; having creative freedom in how our brand is expressed; how to be our finger-on-the-pulse, zeitgeist zealot; how to be our agency ‘influencer’ and ‘Community Creator’ then this is your chance.


What We Need You To Do


  • Manage all our social channels: LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok
  • Implement our social media strategy; content pillars and types
  • Plan and coordinate a calendar of content to achieve our monthly, quarterly and annual KPIs
  • Introduce your own ideas for planned and reactive content types
  • Own the end to end creative process - filming, editing and posting
  • React to relevant trends; triage ideas from other Buttermilkers; make recommendations on which to jump on
  • Work with a ‘committee’ of Buttermilkers to help you post planned content on our channels
  • Establish designed templates for different types of activity
  • Work closely within the growth team to supercharge new business, marketing and PR activity
  • Engage with our community across channels
  • Help bring our brand proposition and culture to life
  • Establish helpful reporting (monthly/quarterly)
  • Know what our competitors are doing in social channels, how they are showing up and how we should/could be in the most authentic way
