We are looking for an Estimator to join our client’s team Join one of the UK's leading Fencing Contractors. Our client supplies a wide range of perimeter fencing and hoarding products, including temporary fencing, timber fencing, steel fencing, noise barriers, gates, and gate automation products. Their clients span commercial, industrial, and educational sectors across the South East of England.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our clients growing team. This role offers a significant opportunity for someone with drive and ambition to impact the region's growth positively. Support and development will be provided to help achieve this.


Main Responsibilities of an Estimator

  • Generate sales orders for the division.
  • Conduct site surveys and measure fence lines and gate sizes from drawings.
  • Offer value engineering solutions to customers.
  • Liaise with the purchasing department and suppliers for up-to-date pricing.
  • Handle incoming enquiry calls and negotiate sales orders.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Work closely with the Regional Manager to develop the South East Region.
  • Ensure a full handover from sales to contracts, working closely with the Contracts Manager.
  • Conduct job cost reviews upon completion of projects.


Experience, Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Proven track record in fencing estimating, especially with large contractors.
  • Strong industry experience and excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to take details from drawings to facilitate estimating.
  • Capable of prioritising workload and managing time effectively.
  • Valid driving license (REQUIRED)

Working Hours

  • Monday – Thursday: 8.15 am – 4.45 pm
  • Friday: 8.00 am – 3.00 pm
  • Note: Additional hours may be required for the efficient performance of duties.
