As an HVAC Sales Engineer, you will drive sales across the UK & Ireland, aiming to maximise market share, revenue, and profit. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring sustainable growth.
Job Description
Implement the Sales Strategy
- Execute the sales strategy in collaboration with regional sales and distribution managers.
Build and Maintain Relationships
- Develop, support, and maintain strong relationships with existing channel partners, including distributors, mid-market contractors, HVAC installers, and consultants. Work together to achieve and exceed targets, while also identifying and onboarding new distribution partners to expand product coverage and service reach in the territory.
Support Channel Partners
- Provide expert product knowledge, Base of Design support, and pricing assistance. This includes reviewing customer documents—such as drawings, plans, schedules, and engineering specs—to prepare accurate cost estimates. Deliver sales and product training to channel partners as needed.
Drive Business Development
- Support marketing activities, lead generation initiatives, and customer satisfaction efforts by actively seeking new sales opportunities and routes to market. Qualify and close new sales to foster business growth.
Promote the Value Proposition
- Communicate the value company offerings by delivering both business and technical solutions. Ensure that channel partners and their key consultants are equipped to drive growth, particularly with basis-of-design specifications.
Champion Customer Needs and Market Insights
- Identify and analyse market opportunities, conduct competitive research on pricing, performance, and product features, and compare our strengths against competitors. Coordinate these insights with internal teams to strengthen our market position.
Forecast and Report Sales
- Regularly forecast and report actual sales volumes by product line and account, adhering to requested reporting frequency.
Adhere to Sales Processes and Excellence
- Execute disciplined sales processes and maintain a high standard of sales excellence.
Collaborate Across Teams
- Work closely with colleagues across the company to achieve common goals and support customer needs.
The Ideal Candidate Has
- A sales-driven professional with a proven track record of achieving results in sales.
- 2-6 years of experience in specifying, designing, and selling Commercial HVAC solutions, such as chillers, heat pumps, terminal units, air handling units, or rooftop units.
- Excellent skills in supporting and training distributors to foster mutual growth.
- A goal-oriented approach, with the ability to meet targets and self-monitor performance.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook, with knowledge of Salesforce CRM as a plus.
- Willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland.
