Finatal has partnered with a rapidly growing consumer-focused Private Equity backed business as they begin to scale their Product function and product portfolio.


Role Summary:

As the Product Director, you will be responsible for leading the product strategy, development, and execution for their portfolio.


Your role will be to drive product innovation, bring new products to market, and deliver value to both the business and our customers.

Working in a Private Equity environment, you will ensure that the product roadmap aligns with the strategic business goals and growth targets, particularly in driving value creation and return on investment.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Product Leadership:

  • Develop and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, aligning it with the company’s strategic objectives and growth ambitions.
  • Translate the product strategy into detailed, actionable plans and oversee their execution.
  • Ensure the product development process is agile, customer-focused, and adaptable to changing market conditions.
  • Leverage your Private Equity experience to understand and align with the business's financial goals, focusing on driving ROI, profitability, and value creation.
  • Partner closely with the executive team and PE stakeholders to communicate product strategy, progress, and outcomes effectively.
  • Analyze market trends and financial metrics to ensure product decisions maximize enterprise value.
  • Work with engineering, marketing, sales, and operations teams to ensure successful product launches and sustained market growth.
  • Act as a bridge between internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on product direction and execution.
  • Drive customer-centric product development through rigorous research and user feedback, continually improving the product offering.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.


Key Qualifications and Experience:

Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven track record of working in a Private Equity-backed business, with a deep understanding of value creation and financial modeling.
  • Strong experience in a high-growth consumer business, with a background in developing and scaling successful products.
  • Experience in driving digital transformation and leveraging technology to enhance product offerings is a plus.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong financial acumen, with an understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics relevant to Private Equity environments.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across all levels of the organization.
