Consortium is thrilled to be partnering with our client in their search for an experienced Project Manager. This role, based in Derby, offers the chance to direct diverse project teams to achieve successful outcomes while ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. You will oversee the technical, contractual, and financial aspects of projects, while providing exceptional leadership and mentoring to your team.


Project Manager Role & Responsibilities:


  • Direct diverse project teams to achieve successful outcomes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Ensure all project activities meet industry safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Foster strong client partnerships, ensuring clear communication and client satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Oversee contract negotiations, managing variations, and mitigating potential risks.
  • Manage external contractors, monitor project budgets, and ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Lead the preparation of tenders, including cost estimations and project scheduling.
  • Guide and mentor team members, offering feedback and support to enhance their professional growth.
  • Maintain high standards of project documentation, adhering to internal procedures and legal guidelines.


The ideal candidate will have:


  • A degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, ideally in infrastructure or related sectors.
  • Experience with contract management, financial oversight, and leading project teams.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and quality management systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • NEC contract knowledge is desirable but not essential.


Project Manager Salary & Benefits:


  • Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum.
