The Role

The Group Governance Officer role will support our outstanding governance service lead by the Group Chief of Staff & Governance Officer. The role will involve the clerking of local governing boards, recruitment and engagement with local community governors, facilitating training and development for governors including parent governors, maintaining a Trust complaints log and preparing monthly communications to local governors.


This is a front facing role which requires excellent communication skills working primarily in the Trust with Local Governors and School Leadership Teams, supporting recruitment and include delivery of training and development to new local governors.


Skills and Experience

The post holder will have experience in engagement and networking with all types of stakeholders, facilitating communications to enhance and foster collaboration and belonging.


The post holder will need to develop strong working relationships with Senior Leadership Teams across the College and Trust ensuring regulatory compliance of websites and communication platforms like SharePoint and supporting and monitoring Trust complaints.


Strong and excellent administration and record keeping skills are required for this role and applicants should have work experience in business administration and professional services and be IT proficient in MS Office 365 applications and presentation software. Experience and knowledge of recruitment processes, legal and compliance matters applicable to educational establishments is also desirable.
