The successful Estimating Manager will be responsible for:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for modular steel-framed projects across a range of industries.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of estimators, ensuring a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborating with internal teams, including engineering, production, and project management, to deliver competitive bids.
  • Conducting risk assessments and identifying value engineering opportunities to ensure cost-effective delivery.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve competitive pricing and terms.
  • Reviewing and improving estimating processes to align with industry standards and best practices.
  • Ensuring all proposals and tenders are fully compliant with project and contractual requirements.

The successful Estimating Manager will have:

  • A strong track record in cost estimation, ideally within modular construction, off-site manufacturing, or similar sectors.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a team effectively.
  • A solid understanding of technical drawings and specifications, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with cost estimation software and processes, with a proactive approach to process improvement.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction management, or a related discipline.
