We are looking for a motivated Snr Fabricator/Welder to join our team at Orbis Engineering Ltd, based closeby to Aberdeen (AB23 8XP). Orbis although a newly formed company in the past 2 years, have proven Engineering Leadership & Workforce experience in the Oil & Gas sector for over 20+ years.


Orbis manufacture primarily for Oil & Gas Clients. Works include (but not limited to); Heavy Structures, Pipe/Flexi spools, Tooling, Refurbishment of Client assets and Labour on site locally in and around Aberdeenshire.


Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive projects within our operation. With progressive training and development Orbis is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team. The position will appeal to a Welder/Fabricator looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.


Requirements

- Experience in a welding fabrication role (At least 7 years)

- Experienced in gas Tungsten Arc Welding, Flux Core Arc Welding and Gas Manual

Arc Welding

- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings

- Able to weld in accordance with company procedures

- Able to work with limited supervision

- Produce quality products

- Determine equipment and welding method whilst applying knowledge of geometry

and welding techniques

- Generate and record relevant documentation to weld, company and customer

procedures

- Maintain company health, safety and hygiene standards and work in a methodical

and tidy manner

- Possess a pro-active approach to own and others health and safety

- Work closely with the two Orbis Apprentices. Co-ordinating with other

team members and allocated tasks/ jobs

- Fluent in English Language

- Able to provide two refences, one being last employer.

Job Type: Full-time


Pay: £19.50-£22.00 per hour


Expected hours: 40 per week
