A rapidly expanding company specializing in transforming the FMCG sector for a range of globally recognized clients is seeking a Senior Project Manager due to recent significant client wins. This fully remote position includes occasional global travel to client sites, with current opportunities in Italy, Belgium, and Mexico.

In this role, you will be instrumental in the development of the business, leading various projects to plan, install, commission, and validate production lines and technical projects for client facilities. You will work with a small team of Engineers and Managers, and coordinate with stakeholders and third-party suppliers across multiple disciplines, including 3D scanning/visualization and technical design.

This position is ideal for someone with a proven track record of managing projects with budgets ranging from £5-£40m and who values a flexible work-life balance. The role emphasizes autonomy, creative problem-solving, and proactive communication to deliver optimal solutions for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle including scope definition, team leadership, scheduling, communication, cost management, risk assessment, quality control, procurement, and adherence to HSE regulations.
  • Documentation: Develop and ensure clarity of User Requirements Documents and ensure they are communicated, understood, and adhered to.
  • Presentation: Participate in meetings and present regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management: Write and deliver updates to stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
  • Organization and Management: Coordinate and, if necessary, attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) of equipment at suppliers. Oversee on-site installation, ensuring accuracy, and supervise commissioning up to Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and production start-up.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and guidelines.
  • Training: Arrange and coordinate technician and operator training.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience delivering complex end-to-end projects within FMCG (particularly food, drink, dairy), including production lines, packaging, and new factory construction.
  • Expertise in equipment and production line integration, installation, and commissioning, preferably with filling and packaging lines.
  • Experience in preparing bids and tenders.
  • Ability to work in a consultancy role, managing various stakeholders and adapting to different needs.
  • Industry-recognized Project Management Certification.
  • Degree-level education or equivalent commercial experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal (primarily in English; additional languages are a plus).
  • Valid Passport (UK or relevant EU country).
