Mechanical Site Lead. Liverpool


We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Lead to serve as the right hand to the management team. The ideal candidate will oversee on-site operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards. Flexibility with working hours and a comprehensive understanding of commercial challenges are essential for success in this role. You must have fitters experience and experience running site projects valued between £100k to £1 million and be willing to be hands-on and flexible according to site needs, including occasional twilight shifts.


Responsibilities of a Mechanical Site Lead:

  • Supervise on-site mechanical operations, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project requirements.
  • Actively participate in hands-on tasks, leading by example and demonstrating a strong work ethic.
  • Coordinate and organise job schedules, allocating resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Conduct mechanical installations, testing, and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations and quality standards.
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels, ensuring an adequate supply of materials for ongoing projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with management, clients, and subcontractors to address project needs and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications Required of a Mechanical Site Lead:

  • Proven experience in mechanical supervision, with a strong track record of on-site management.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial challenges related to mechanical projects.
  • Flexibility with working hours to accommodate project demands and deadlines.
  • Possession of relevant certifications such as SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in mechanical installations, testing, and inspection procedures.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Fitters experience and the capability to manage site projects valued between £100k to £1 million.
