In this role you will lead the Tendering, Pre-Construction and Construction Teams throughout the lifecycle of projects from concept all the way through to completion for a leading and fast growing ICP. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the team on the safe, timely, high quality and customer focused delivery of projects
  • Ensure projects are secured and delivered on time and within the financial budget and margins as specified by the tender document/BOQ’s
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to and are managed to commercial agreements/contracts
  • You must comply with the statutory regulations, are QHSE compliant and meet technical industry standards
  • Identify, reduce and manage all risks (technical, statutory, QHSE, commercial or otherwise associated with every project)
  • Deliver supportive business communication through advice, review, leadership and direct contribution to management team meetings, briefing and correspondence
  • Monthly and ad-hoc reporting and other applications as appropriate
  • Ensure that tenders are managed in a timely manner and to clients expatiations
  • Lead the tendering team to ensure timely handover of won projects to the pre-construction teams
  • Ensuing that handover from the Pre-Construction team to the Construction teams are completed on time in line with client expectations
  • Forecast project delivery timescales for business reporting to Managing Director
  • Build and manage budgets within your teams in Tendering and Pre-Construction

Knowledge & Experience Required

  • Experience within an ICP is essential, with expertise and understanding of DNO’s, IDNO’s, Civils, Electrical (NICEIC & ICP LV/HV), EV and renewables required
  • Previous experience managing and leading teams (Line Management experience essential)
  • Resource planning is essential
  • Analysing and reasoning skills, to reach sound and technical conclusions but being pragmatic about situations
  • Strong communicator with the ability to communicate with a variety of employees and stakeholders
  • Ability to build relationships with people at all levels
  • Proven project management experience within the industry
  • Commercial & financial awareness
  • Broad understanding of construction QHSE law and legislation
  • Experience of creating, presenting and management of tenders/bids
  • A problem solver with the ability to deal with complex issues
