This Regional Sales Executive within FOOD is based near London but will travel frequently in Europe, 3 weeks a month is expected. If you speak fluent CHINESE (Mandarin/Cantonese) and have a solid sales background in food, this is a lovely opportunity to join a growing specialist food business that imports food products and ingredients into the UK and Holland. The role is very autonomous and you will be talking to existing clients (all supermarkets and retailers ) and new clients and introduce them to new products. The role is exciting and caters to the growing passion for Asian foods that we can see across Europe. You need to have a solid B2B sales background in the FOOD industry for this role and have worked. There are excellent career opportunities in this expanding sector at the moment and there will be international travel involved to meet clients.


Title: Area Sales Manager (with Chinese)

Location : Greater London with extensive travelling to Europe (3 weeks a month is expected)

Languages required : Fluent CHINESE and English. Another EU language is always useful)

Salary : Up to £55,000 + yearly bonus base on company and personal performance

Work style: This is a hybrid role with travel involved (expected 3 weeks a month)

Company details: This is a well-established food import/export business that specialises in importing specialists food products from Asia and supplies supermarkets and restaurants. The company has gone through a recent explosion in growth as a result of the increased interest in home-cooking that started during Covid. People are now experimenting with new flavours and new dishes and this company has been able to expand strongly in order to accommodate increasingly sophisticated and international dishes. In this role you develop new business within retail or hospitality clients.

2) Sales negotiation & travel to see customers

Duties

Sales & new business development

  • Looking after a mix of existing and new key retail & restaurant clients including a portfolio of supermarkets
  • Work with the product development team to introduce new products and expand the product portfolio
  • Oversee the food product portfolio and optimize the sales revenue
  • Ensure that the portfolio is achieving its sales targets
  • Manage the P+L for your portfolio
  • Manage the sales forecast, prepare the monthly sales report and analysis
  • Drive the retail sell in / sell out, grow the market share
  • Be creative and innovate with Marketing to boost the sales revenue and enhance the customers’ awareness
  • Devise promotions and measure results
  • Make sure clients always have sufficient inventory

Requirements

  • Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
  • Willing to travel within EU frequently (3 weeks a month is expected)
  • Fluent in another EU languages is always a plus
  • Previous B2B sales experience in Food
  • Car driver is essential (you will visit customers)
