Role Summary

We are seeking an ambitious, and articulate candidate to join Rokstone as an Underwriting Assistant specialising in Aviation. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced, market-leading team at an exciting time of further product growth. As an Underwriting Assistant, you must be able to work in a team environment, take on administration duties, and support the Underwriting team.


Role Accountabilities

  • Preparation of policy documentation, quotes, certificates, endorsements and debit notes.
  • Prepare and issue routine policy documents, endorsements, and certificates under supervision.
  • Support underwriters in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to support efficient underwriting processes and service delivery.
  • General back-up duties, including entry on internal and market computer systems (e.g. PPL. Whitespace).
  • Working with the Operations processing team (as appropriate) to ensure premiums are processed appropriately and address any queries/issues.
  • Participate in training programs and educational opportunities to develop underwriting skills and industry knowledge.
  • Assist with reporting, monitoring income and producing bordereaux’s.
  • Any additional duties as assigned.



Role Requirements

  • At least 5 A-C Grade GCSE’s including English, Maths and ICT.
  • Be prepared to work towards insurance qualifications e.g., CII
  • A-level standard of education is preferred but not essential.



Skills and Abilities

  • A good work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • This is a good long-term opportunity to eventually move into underwriting. Support will be provided for training.
  • Keen with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail.
