Position: Mechatronics Engineer

Overview: -
Successful candidates will be natural self-starters who have an Electrical/Mechanical Engineering and/or Construction background. The role will understand the details of Fulfilment Centre design, implementation, modelling, estimating and managing new or retrofit Fulfilment Centres. This job requires a unique combination of flexibility, creativity, innovation, leadership, and effective communication.
Responsibilities: -
- Manage and track the installation progress, quality and validation of all electrical and mechanical systems installed by the Deployment Engineering team
- Leading large teams through the setup and configuration of software, hardware, and robotics systems
- Managing onsite relationships with multiple internal and external teams during the on-site implementation systems
- Assist third-party assemblers by motivating, providing guidance and direction
- Performing on-site hardware and software support during initial system deployment
- Daily communication (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors and vendors
- Troubleshooting - Ability to identify problems and understand resources needed to resolve them
- Tracking the deployment inventory, including spare parts, while working with the supply chain to resolve any discrepancies or issues
Skills & Accreditations: -
- BS in Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Ability to prioritize, schedule, and logistically support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Comfort with detailed and complex technology including software, hardware and robotics
- Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in team settings
- Proven ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, contractors and vendors
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize different projects and workload
- Proven ability to work successfully with little supervision
- Desire to perform a mix of technical and non-technical challenges
