Responsibilities:


1. Content Creation:

  • Author and maintain technical documentation, tutorials, and guides using Markdown.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand complex technical concepts.

2. Version Control and Collaboration:

  • Leverage Git-based workflows to manage documentation repositories.
  • Work seamlessly with distributed teams across different time zones, ensuring consistent and up-to-date content.

3. Code Review and Quality Assurance:

  • Participate in code review processes for documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to style guidelines.
  • Validate code samples, diagrams, and other technical artefacts within the documentation.

4. Domain Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (ideally Google Cloud Platform - GCP) and Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of Platform as a Service (PaaS) concepts.

5. User-Centric Approach:

  • Advocate for the end user by creating documentation that is accessible, well-organised, and easy to follow.
  • Continuously improve documentation based on user feedback and evolving technologies.

Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging documentation for various audiences (developers, operations teams, etc.).

6. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX designers.
  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to bridge the gap between technical details and user needs.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in technical writing, preferably in a software development environment.
  • Strong familiarity with Markdown, Git and knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor content for diverse audiences.
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, ideally with some experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
