Area Sales Manager
The Role: The Area Sales Manager will be covering the West Scotland region which incorporates everything within the G, DG, KA, and BT postcodes (although no travel required to BT). In this role the Area Sales Manager will be selling a market-leading array of below-ground solutions on a hire basis into Main Contractors & Civil Engineering businesses working on a host of construction & infrastructure projects. These products include trench shoring boxes, sheeting, extraction equipment, excavation bracing frames, and lightweight boxes. The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for a region that has great growth potential, this is reflected in the bonus structure which is based on 1% of all sales turnover on an uncapped basis which means there is a lot of scope to increase your earnings in a big way. The targets for London will be tempered to start with to get you off and running, but the commission scheme is completely uncapped so there is very little stopping you from massively over achieving on targets.
The Area Sales Manager will have a superb back-office support function to help be successful. Our client have a fabulous in-house Design team who can turn quotes around quickly when they come in, a great marketing team, and Hire Controllers at each of their regional depots who can support on delivery of equipment when a sale is agreed. In addition, you will be supported by depot's in Scotland with market-leading equipment, excellent availability, and the ability to install where your competition does not
The Company: Our client are a market-leader in their field and they boast the largest stockholding of product in the UK than any of their competitors, in addition to a dedicated installation team who operate nationally separating them from the rest of the market. They are a business who are investing heavily in their induction, onboarding, and ongoing training processes and do a lot to push internal promotions where possible. In addition, they have recently partnered with another industry leader to become the largest temporary works and shoring hire company in the UK.
We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Field sales experience within the construction sector
- Have a track record with new business and account management
- Have sold a technical, or design led, construction solution in below-ground applications
- Full & Clean Driving licence
- Are verse in selling direct to end users at site level e.g. Contractors
Salary: £42,000 Basic Salary + OTE year 1 is £12k (completely uncapped over target, earn 1% of all sales - area is currently tracking at £10k commission), Company Car (Hybrid options), 25 days plus stat, pension 10% with a 5% contribution, healthcare, PMI
