Venn Group are currently working with an organisation in Cambridge to recruit a Project Manager. This is a full-time role on a 6-month fixed term contract.


The role will be responsible for maintaining a detailed overview of a grant funded projects, working across the team to ensure they are completed on time and to budget.


Main responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director and key project leads to stay informed about the objectives and progress of each funded initiative.
  • Offer guidance to the Head of Operations regarding the financial health, expected outcomes, and current status of projects, ensuring alignment with the finance team and standards to meet funding conditions.
  • Engage regularly with project leads to provide Leadership with updated information on each project's progress.
  • Forecast upcoming deliverables and financial requirements, facilitating proactive management of projects to achieve timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Consult with project leads to suggest corrective actions for any deviations from the set financial plans.
  • Generate both written and oral progress updates for the Leadership Team and prepare formal reports for the Initiative's sponsors.
  • Monitor and document key performance indicators (KPIs), integrating this data into reports for the Leadership Team, sponsors, and governance meetings.


Requirements:

  • Proficient in project management and operational oversight within high-pressure environments.
  • Skilled in PMO responsibilities, managing complex projects with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Adept at multitasking, capable of handling multiple projects concurrently without compromising quality.
  • Experienced in utilizing programme management software tools to track and report on project milestones and progress.
