London UK, UK, United Kingdom Viasat Full time

About Viasat:

Viasat brings connectivity where it’s needed most to unlock opportunity for the world. Our corporate headquarters are in Carlsbad, California.

In May 2023 Viasat acquired Inmarsat Plc who’s brand new head office is based in Finsbury Square, London. Inmarsat has been at the forefront of global mobile satellite communications for nearly forty years, and is the market leading provider of voice and high-speed data communications for users on land, at sea and in the air through its constellation of 13 geostationary satellites. Corporate Office

Viasat’s Corporate Office aims to leverage the groups scale to sustainably improve our operational efficiency. Global Procurement is key in achieving this aim.

After establishing a Global Procurement function some 5 years ago, Viasat is evolving the team’s role and focus to further develop our strategic procurement capabilities; identify and implement cost control opportunities across the business, maximise the potential for synergies via the Inmarsat/Viasat integration and use technologies to maximise the effectiveness of the team.

Procurement focuses on areas where the most value can be achieved by taking a balanced risk based approach to projects; implementing fit for purpose policies and processes and then managing suppliers and relationships to get the most out of them. Ultimately to be seen internally and externally as a team that adds value to all business units and not a team that just runs processes.
