Our client is a leading premium high street supplier dedicated to quality, and excellence. Based in the vibrant heart of Central London, they supply premium high street brands with high-quality garments.


Role Overview:

We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and detail-oriented Garment Technologist. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, fit, and performance of garments, working closely with the design, production, and quality assurance teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Development: Oversee garment development from initial design through to production, ensuring technical specifications are met.
  • Fit and Quality: Conduct fit sessions, analyze garment fit, and provide technical solutions to achieve the desired look and feel.
  • Fabric and Trim Selection: Collaborate with designers to select appropriate fabrics and trims, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
  • Specification Sheets: Create and maintain detailed specification sheets, ensuring all technical aspects are clearly communicated to manufacturers.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and troubleshoot production issues, working with manufacturers to implement effective solutions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all garments comply with relevant safety, legal, and quality standards.


Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within the fashion industry, preferably with a high street supplier.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using garment technology software and tools, with a strong understanding of fabric properties, garment construction, and production processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a strong analytical mindset.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Innovation: A proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
