Overview:

Working in our Stockport office for a fast-paced software company, the Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and qualifying potential clients. Your primary focus will be on lead generation, qualification, and collaboration with both the sales and marketing teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.


Responsibilities:

Lead Generation:

  • Conduct thorough research to identify potential clients and generate high-quality leads for the sales team.
  • Utilise various prospecting methods, including cold calling, email outreach, and social media, to engage with potential customers.


Qualification of Leads:

  • Qualify leads through effective communication to understand their needs, challenges, and level of interest in the company's products or services.
  • Work closely with sales teams to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads for further engagement.


Database Management:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Regularly clean and update the prospect database to ensure data integrity and improve targeting for future outreach.


Communication and Follow-up:

  • Communicate effectively with potential clients to articulate the value proposition of the company's products or services.
  • Follow up on leads promptly, nurture relationships, and provide additional information as needed to move leads through the sales funnel.


Collaboration with Marketing:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to align outreach strategies with broader marketing campaigns.
  • Provide feedback on the effectiveness of marketing materials and suggest improvements based on prospect interactions.


Reporting and Analytics:

  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as lead conversion rates, outreach effectiveness, and pipeline contribution.
  • Analyse data to identify trends and insights that can inform adjustments to the SDR strategy and improve overall sales performance.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • 1+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a related field
  • High energy and a results-driven mindset
  • Ability to deliver proactive customer engagement and support
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to spot opportunities and follow through
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
