Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and support to clients on a wide range of employment law matters, including employment contracts, discrimination, dismissal, and workplace policies.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in employment tribunal proceedings and other dispute resolution forums.
- Advise clients on compliance with employment legislation and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in employment law and provide guidance to clients on emerging legal issues.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing responsive and commercially-focused legal advice.
Qualifications:
- Qualified solicitor with experience in employment law.
- Strong academic background with a law degree from a reputable institution.
- Solid experience working in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department, handling employment law matters.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply legal principles to complex situations.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Membership of the Law Society of England and Wales or equivalent professional body is desirable.
