Who You Are

You are a compassionate and empathetic individual with effective communication skills, adept at handling the emotional demands of occupational therapy. You possess a strong theoretical, practical, and procedural knowledge of occupational therapy and understand the necessity of working collaboratively with partnership agencies, including health, housing, education, and both statutory and voluntary bodies. You will manage a caseload, collaborating with individuals and their carers to identify eligible needs and devise personalized outcomes. Within a supportive environment, you will apply your occupational therapy skills to deliver interventions, utilizing community resources and ensuring support plans are implemented effectively. Key responsibilities include carrying out risk assessments, contributing to safeguarding enquiries, negotiating on behalf of clients, and maintaining professional standards in accordance with HCPC and Royal College guidelines. Expect regular supervision and appropriate workload management to support your professional development.
