I am partnered with an exciting civil engineering and groundworks contractor who have a busy workload and projects being awarded and so are keen to speak with Senior Quantity Surveyor's and Quantity Surveyor's to join their business on a long term basis. They work on projects valued up to £3m per project in a range of sectors from construction to datacentres and education.


We are on the lookout for Quantity Surveyors to join the team to assist on their current portfolio using the NEC and JCT suite of contracts. This company have a great Estimator within the team so all works are priced accurately and so you will pick up work from award through to final accounts. This company have a positive target of £20m turnover in the next couple of years and are pushing forward toward that. They are an exciting company to be involved with right now.


My client is based in Manchester with all projects within an hour's radius so would suit somebody local to that area. They are open to both freelance and permanent candidates. That being said, they are looking for someone ambitious and hungry who wants to commit on a long-term basis and grow with the company.


This role will require someone in Manchester 5 days a week to build relationships and rapport with the team. They do offer flexible working and are happy to look at that once relationships have been built.


What I am looking for:

  • A minimum of 8 years for the SQS working ideally in a civils environment
  • The ability to manage a portfolio of projects over £10m using either the NEC or JCT suite of contractors
  • Must be able to commute in and around Manchester 5 days per week (for the initial phase)
  • The ability to see multiple projects from award through to final accounts.


This is a fantastic opportunity for a hungry SQS and QS to join an expanding civils and groundworks contractor on a long-term basis. With their targets and trajectory they are an exciting prospect to be involved with. They would also look at both freelance and permanent, so we are open to all types of candidates on this one.
