We are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager for the London Global Trading Technology (GTT) team . The candidate will help drive the delivery of the CRD migration from on-prem to SaaS as well as direct management of the 5 London based CRD SaaS analysts. The candidate must have comprehensive CRD knowledge and have experience running and managing teams, preferably in both on-prem and SaaS environments. Reporting will be locally in London but will be expected to liaise regularly with senior GTT leads in Baltimore, GTT development teams in London and Baltimore as well as build solid relationships with trading and investments teams globally. The candidate must be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role, show a self-starter attitude and exhibit expert communication and presentation skills.

This person will:

Manage the London CRD SaaS BA team

Help drive the CRD to SaaS migration (go-live expected Q4 2025)

Accomplished at presenting and delivering to senior stakeholders

Work closely with London trading and portfolio management business

ROLE SUMMARY

Provides leadership and direction through managers and sizeable teams of professionals

Is accountable for the performance and results of a department

Develops and executes strategy to achieve key business objectives defined in collaboration with senior management

Decisions are guided by department and Business Unit strategy and objectives with results assessed with a near term and long-term perspective

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages a development team to deliver projects that achieve target outcomes

• Demonstrates master hands-on capability to drive components to delivery

• Applies people management skills to coach, mentor and develop engineers in the team

• Accountable for the quality, total cost of ownership, maintainability, and security of the solutions built by the team

• Contributes to specific elements of the GTS technical strategy

• Is held accountable for driving the realization of the GTS technical strategy in their area of responsibility

• Leads large software development projects in terms of team size, technical complexity, and/or organizational complexity

• Maintains a wide, active network across the enterprise, and knows when to engage/activate it

PREFERRED (OR ESSENTIAL) QUALIFICATIONS

Skills Required

  • Knowledge of Charles River 10+ years minimum experience

  • Experience in people management

  • Experience working in a global banking environment

  • Front office trading experience

  • Banking domain knowledge

  • Experience working in an agile environment

  • Can articulate business needs and translate them into technology solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Highly desirable

  • CRD SaaS experience

  • Good SQL Server skills

  • Understanding of CRD architecture
