Position Overview

The Director will oversee the company's commercial operations, focusing on e-commerce operations and driving direct-to-consumer (DTC) channels. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, with a dotted line into the Founder, this role involves developing and executing strategies that enhance market presence, drive sales, and support the achievement of business objectives. This is a newly created role designed to support the business's growth and maintain the balance between high-quality tailoring and performance-driven sportswear within the brand's offerings.

This is an exciting time for the brand as it prepares for significant growth in the coming years. We are looking for a highly motivated Commercial Director who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is surrounded by like-minded go-getters. The Commercial Director will lead all front-end functions, including sales, marketing, customer experience, and brand partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a brand-appropriate customer experience across all touchpoints, including marketing, sales, and customer service.
  • Implement scalable systems and processes to support the business through rapid growth, developing systems for sales tracking, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Spearhead strategies to steer the company’s commercial activities in a positive direction.
  • Drive the company’s sales and marketing capabilities to surpass customer acquisition, retention, and revenue goals.
  • Oversee sales forecasting and demand planning.
  • Provide positive servant leadership by building a strong organization focused on culture, excellence, collaboration, and continuous development.
  • Develop and leverage KPIs to gain insights into performance and identify critical areas for continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the entire flow of customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction, collaborating with teams across Sales and Marketing to achieve key revenue and growth milestones.
  • Partner closely with the Managing Director to identify efficiency optimization opportunities to drive scale and efficiency throughout the organization.
  • Lead budget management, financial analysis, reporting standards, performance measurement, and communication that provides visibility and guidance for the commercial team and leadership.

Skills + Experience

  • A strong leader that inspires commitment to achieving exceptional customer loyalty.

  • Experience leading transformational cross-functional initiatives.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in direct-to-consumer (DTC), apparel, or fashion operations, including senior management/director-level experience in a similarly fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of e-commerce operations, sales strategies, and customer acquisition processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts related to revenue forecasting, return on investment, and financial performance analysis.
  • An agile, resourceful problem solver able to identify bottlenecks and build scalable solutions within a constantly evolving business.
