The client have been established for a number of years and their eCommerce side is growing, with huge ambitions for growth. The technology department is evolving to cross functional product-based teams that use data to inform decisions and as a Lead Engineer, you’d be responsible for managing other engineers, play a key role in technical direction (for the team and wider department) as well as promoting continuous improvement and agile values.


The current team is collaborative and cross functional, they value diversity and teamwork over individual heroics, embrace an agile mindset and use data to inform their decisions so you can expect to work alongside product owners, designers, testers, data engineers and other software engineers that are passionate about using quality practices like TDD, pair programming and DevOps.


The Ideal Candidate

  • Strong understanding of React Native development with use of Typescript, Jest, Redux within
  • Strong understanding of Agile practices
  • Thorough understanding of frameworks, patterns and practises within cross-platform mobile apps
  • Proven experience managing a team of software engineers (preferably React Native Engineers)
  • Previous CI/CD experience and managing build pipelines
  • Highly desirable to have used popular frameworks such as React, Angular and Vue and native tech such as iOS/Android (Swift, Java, Kotlin, Objective-C)


The benefits are good on this role too with a salary up to 70k plus a annual bonus of 15%. The company also operate a very flexible working model being remote first, with occasional trips to the office so it’s a great one for work life balance.
