Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Requirements Engineer to join our team in the defence sector. The role can be remote for applicants with demonstrable experience and skillset. Due to the nature of the defence industry will require successful applicant to be asole British citizen eligible for security clearance.

You will be working on the left-hand side of the V model for defence projects, particularly during bid and concept phases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in capturing, analysing, and documenting requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder needs. Proficiency in DOORS is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirement Capture: Collaborate with stakeholders to capture, analyze, and document project requirements, particularly during bid and concept phases.
  • Requirement Management: Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • System Design Support: Provide support to system designers by ensuring that requirements are accurately translated into system designs.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain requirement specifications using DOORS, ensuring that they are clear, complete, and consistent.

Qualifications

Key skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Engineer in the defence industry.
  • Strong understanding of requirements management tools and methodologies, particularly DOORS.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering principles and processes.
  • Experience working on projects during bid and concept phases is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
