Claims Executive - Leeds - ARD1017649

Towergate Corporate is the rapidly expanding corporate division of Towergate Insurance Brokers, primarily based in Leeds city centre, with colleagues across the UK.

Our clients are corporate businesses across various sectors, which are usually large, complex and/or global, each with a bespoke insurance and risk management programme.


The Role

We are looking to recruit an experienced Claims Executive to join our growing claims team, that deals with a varied portfolio of corporate clients.

We’re looking for individuals who share our passion and want to play a part in shaping our future.

You will have excellent customer service and communication skills to ensure a consistently high level of claims service delivery to major corporate clients.

The ideal candidate will have dealt with a variety of losses across different insurance classes and will have experience of managing a portfolio of client accounts across various industry sectors.


Objectives and Responsibilities

  • You will liaise with insurers and other experts to ensure effective claims outcomes and the smooth handling of the claims in a professional manor
  • Responsible for relationship management with clients, insurers, and other external providers, to facilitate claims solutions to meet client needs and ensure cost effective delivery
  • Drive best practice across the claims function to deliver a consistent client experience
  • Providing a dedicated interface covering all claims resources, ensuring clients always have access to the right person at the right time
  • Knowing each client’s business inside out and fully understanding their requirements from the outset
  • Providing pre-checked, made-to-measure MI with analysis relevant to each company which requires a good knowledge of Excel and a good eye for detail in order to spot inaccuracies and errors in data from multiple sources
  • Integrating with our comprehensive risk management service to ensure no lessons from today’s claims go unheeded tomorrow
  • Delivery of various workshops for clients such as accident investigation and claims defensibility in conjunction with the Risk Manager
  • Articulating Towergate Specialty & Risk’s claims proposition in new business pitches
  • Developing relationships with clients and brokers through regular claims review meetings


Competency Profile

  • In depth claims knowledge and expertise across various classes of insurance
  • To take responsibility of your own workload
  • Ability to work to a high level of accuracy
  • Excellent relationship building skills
  • Team Player able to achieve core business aims and values
  • Experience with Acturis is desirable, however full training will be provided
  • Experience in using MS Excel, Word and Outlook
  • General Insurance regulation & business ethics
