Our client is a European leader in the development and management of renewable energy projects. They have solidified their position as the primary renewable energy entity, gathering a team of top experts covering the entire spectrum of clean energy across global offices. Priding themselves on their entrepreneurial spirit, they have embarked on executing the subsequent growth phase and are looking for an Associate to join their London office.
THE ROLE:
This role of an Associate is primarily focused on the quantitative analysis needed to support investment decisions, debt raising and M&A processes. Your key responsibilities will include:
Supporting transaction execution and negotiations with the counterparties
Managing due diligence activities, including coordinating the work of external parties and internal technical/commercial teams
Preparation and analysis of financial models
Leading market and sector research and analysis
Build and maintain relationships with the financing community, including both investment banks and institutional investors
Supporting on various business development, transaction and portfolio management activities
THE CANDIDATE:
Our client would like a candidate has a good understanding of all aspects of financing, and who satisfies the following criteria:
3-5 years of professional experience with exposure to financing transactions from investment banking, financial investor, utility company or developer
Renewable energy or infrastructure specific experience
Strong quantitative and analytical skills as well as knowledge of Corporate Finance
Strong financial modelling skills
Excellent commercial mindset and understanding of value drivers and risks of energy generation assets
