The Role

An exciting opportunity to join us as a Flight Crew Sustainability Manager has arisen Working in our Corporate Affairs team, you will be responsible for informing and engaging our Flight Crew community, ensuring each colleague understands how their role actively contributes to our goal of net zero.

What You’ll Do

  • Leverage experience of operating within the flight deck environment to drive engagement and awareness of our BA Better World strategy and climate action among Flight Crew.
  • Translate insights to action and collaborate with technical and operational teams to promote and improve environmental performance.
  • Develop industry-leading sustainability training and engagement programs for Flight Operations to educate and empower colleagues to deliver initiatives.
  • Coordinate and develop sustainability guidance for flight crew, working closely with flight efficiency, internal communications, and central sustainability teams to ensure consistent and accurate messaging.

What You’ll Bring to Us

  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret large data sets.
  • A creative approach to problem-solving, planning, and process management.
  • Ability to work at pace in an ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to constructively challenge and influence at all levels.

Your Experience

  • Current or recent commercial flight crew experience.
  • A qualification and/or relevant experience in an environmental field is desirable.
  • A good understanding of climate aspects within Flight Operations.
