The Laslett, A hotel by Living Rooms with 51 guest rooms and suites inspired by local culture and British style set across five Grade II listed Victoria townhouses in the hear of Notting Hill.

The role:

Supervise all food and beverage outlets in the hotel to the required standards and parameters of the law, particularly liquor law and Food and Beverage Health and Safety. To drive the business through the team while always putting the guest at the centre of everything you do, ensuring an exceptional guest experience for very guest.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • To ensure the prompt and efficient service of all meals, functions and beverages to the required standards
  • To ensure exceptional guest service standards across F&B team
  • Be the lead person to ensure all team member live by Living Room Service Standards
  • Ensure all F&B areas are perfect at all times and set for the appropriate time of day
  • To maintain SOPs and deliver training and development plans across F&B team.
  • To ensure the efficient running of special Events in the Library and Henderson Bar & Kitchen, to ensure clean and tidy preparation and set up
  • To ensure that room service orders are executed promptly and that they comply with the required standards
  • To ensure that faults and defects are reported to Maintenance and actioned without delay
  • Participation and input towards F&B Marketing activities
  • Entertainment of potential and existing customers
  • Handle Food & Beverage inquiries and ensure timely follow up on the same business day
  • Oversee events and F&B reservations
  • Supervision of monthly payroll input for F&B team
  • Consistent check of Food and Beverage quality
  • Establish a rapport with guests to ensure guest satisfaction and repeat business
  • Supervise team to ensure standards are being met at all times
  • To maintain high standards of morale and personal appearance of all staff
  • To ensure that operating equipment is used properly and not abused, e.g. serviettes and waiters' cloths used for cleaning
  • You will be punctual for all shifts, and of a clean and smart appearance
  • To fully understand the evacuation procedure in the event of fire and other emergencies, and be able to carry out specific departmental duties related to such situations
  • To ensure all shifts are covered correctly during times of absence or lateness etc.
  • You should be flexible to ensure the operational needs of the hotel are met in all departments and to undertake any other duties which may be required of you
  • All other duties as directed by the Food & Beverage Manager
