Job Overview:

As a Technical Designer you will be a key contributor to the design process, translating creative concepts into precise technical drawings and specifications. You will collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to ensure the highest quality and functionality of all design elements in our projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Produce detailed technical drawings and specifications for interior design projects, including floor plans, elevations, and sections.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure design intent is accurately conveyed in technical documentation.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to integrate materials, furniture, and fixtures into the design.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and accessibility standards in all designs.
  • Oversee the preparation of 3D models and renderings to help clients visualize design concepts.
  • Participate in site visits and inspections, ensuring designs are implemented correctly and addressing any technical issues on-site.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring technical drawings and revisions are completed on schedule.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Designer in the interior design or architectural industry and ideally working on Workplace/Office Interior projects with a portfolio to match
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation,
  • Understanding of building codes, accessibility standards (ADA), and construction practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce highly accurate technical drawings.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
