One of Scotland's most reputable architectural practices based in Glasgow is currently seeking an Experienced Architectural Technologist with over 5 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial office fit-out projects and proficiency in Revit, alongside a solid understanding of technical detailing and UK building regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of high-profile projects within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead on production of technical packages for commercial office fit-out projects.
  • Developing and producing detailed design drawings, specifications, and schedules using Revit.
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure designs are successfully implemented.
  • Working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to maintain design intent throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Managing project documentation, including drawing packs and construction information.
  • Conducting site visits to resolve any technical issues and ensure quality control.
  • Coordinating with project teams to ensure technical compliance with all building regulations and standards.
  • Assisting with presentations, reports, and tender documents.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as an Architectural Technologist, with a strong portfolio of commercial office fit-out projects.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit is essential.
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations and technical standards.
  • Expertise in creating high-quality, detailed design solutions for commercial interiors.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • A degree or HNC in Architectural Technology or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Experience with other design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or BIM tools is a bonus.
