The Role:

Navartis are happy to be working exclusively with a London based Systems Specialist as they look to grow their team with a Senior Systems Safety Engineer.


As a Senior Systems Safety Engineer, you will be an integral part of the team and provide product assurance and safety management to meet rail industry standards and regulations for both new and modified products, covering development.

Your Responsibilities as a Senior Systems Safety Engineer:

Deliver against product assurance and engineering safety management requirements as an integral part of the project team

Production of System level Safety Cases, Generic Application Safety Cases, Specific Application Safety Cases to relevant standards

Planning ESM activities and writing safety assurance plans

Hazard Identification workshop planning, managing, and reporting:

System Hazard Analysis (SHA)

Interface hazard Analysis (IHA)

Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPS)

Operating and Support Hazard Analysis (OSHA)


As a Senior Systems Safety Engineer you will have:

Demonstrable experience producing safety assessment reports such as HAZID reports, Hazard reports and safety cases

Strong experience with engineering safety management, hazard identification, risk assessment and derivation of safety requirements

Ability to understand Common Safety Method for risk evaluation and assessment, regulatory guidance, client acceptance process, etc.

Qualified to degree-level, preferably with CEng or working towards equivalent Chartership
