About the Pub

The Red Lyon is an historic 16th Century pub, with some parts dating back to the 14th century, located in the centre of the village of Slinfold, some 3 miles west of Horsham Town Centre. It is an Inn of great character and has the benefit of 4 letting rooms, ample sized beer garden to the rear and a large car park for over 20 vehicles. The trade areas comprise of a snug area and open plan bar servery. In addition, there is a separate dining area with approximately 40 covers. The catering kitchen is fully equipped

The internal trading areas consist of a central bar servery with a snug area to the rear and separate dining room to the side. The property boasts traditional characteristic features with exposed beams, brickwork, wooden panelling, and large fireplaces. The pub is furnished to a good standard, carpeted throughout with a mix of wooden tables and chairs, leather sofas and armchairs. The dining room can comfortably accommodate 40 covers dependant on configuration, and the well-equipped commercial kitchen, which also benefits from a large walk-in fridge freezer, is fully capable of delivering a quality food offer. Another bonus of this fantastic historic property is the four letting rooms. The rooms vary in occupancy, a triple, two doubles and one single, two of which are en-suite, and the others are serviced by a family bathroom. The rooms are tastefully furnished, and all contains televisions as well as tea and coffee making facilities.

To the rear of the property is a very attractive beer garden which overlooks the surrounding fields. There is a good-sized patio area with space for 12 tables and chairs and a large barbeque facility, perfect for al fresco dining or summer events. There is also a children's play area at the bottom of a very large, grassed space, with room for more picnic tables and benches and the ideal space for families to sit and relax. At the rear of the property, you will also find the car park which can accommodate up to 20 vehicles.
