The role will be ‘hands on’, utilising data governance tools owned by the firm, and piloting, selecting, acquiring and adapting any new tools that might be required.

This is a multifaceted role, requiring proven experience of establishing data governance in a professional services organisation (e.g. development and implementation of relevant policies and procedures), and hand-on experience in implementing and utilising relevant data governance technology from day to day.

The role sits in the Information Security & Privacy team, reporting to the Information Security Manager.

  • Drive related changes in operational culture and ways of working.
  • Propose and agree measures for monitoring the effectiveness of data governance within the firm,
  • leveraging relevant technologies to report on progress, risks and issues to senior leadership.
  • Establish and lead cross-functional working groups to identify and resolve data governance issues.
  • Help stakeholders understand and realise the benefits of governing and managing data effectively,
  • e.g. by delivering training and workshops to promote data governance awareness across the firm.
  • Improve compliance with applicable legislation and regulations (both national and international).
  • Identify any gaps or shortcomings in the firm’s data management technology and embed appropriate solutions where required.
  • Work closely with the broader Information Security & Privacy and Compliance teams to ensure
  • alignment on information security, data privacy and governance.
